New Modern Favor Box Designs

Being featured in BRIDES magazine has inspired me to create some new patterns for my mini favor boxes. I gave a sneak preview on Instagram and the response was incredible! Check them out...

The rainbow patterned mini gables aren't "new", but they have been updated with brighter colors and just like all of the boxes, they are now laser printed.

The "Leaves" pattern has been updated as well! Now you can choose up to 4 colors from our color chart of 30 colors to create your own unique box!

This is a NEW box pattern. The "Mod Triangle" pattern also allows you to choose colors, up to 3. The colors shown here on our Breeve Gable box are: Main-Blush, Secondary-Wheat, Accent-Navy. I think this is my new favorite box and I would totally create a party to go around it!

All of these boxes are now available in the shop. Like I said we have a NEW color chart available for our boxes which includes 30 colors to choose from!! MORE designs and box styles are coming in the next few weeks!

A little Valentine Photo Shoot

I love it when a plan of mine comes together. I wanted to create some new party favor boxes all in pink, since that is the "IN" color for the year. I asked a few party people to help me out and this is what we created! Initially I decided to do this photo shoot so that I could share Valentine products, but after seeing these items together they would be great for weddings and other parties as well. Take a look...

Custom Wine bottle label by Blush Printables

 Jen from Blush Printables has a great collection of custom wine labels and I absolutely fell in love with this pink floral design. Personalized bottles of wine make wonderful wedding favors as well as great gifts! Jen also created beautiful invitations, envelope wraps and other amazing party printables. 

Macarons by Green Eyed Susan

These brightly colored macarons are from Susan of Green Eyed Susan. I am thrilled to let you all know that Susan is now shipping her macarons! These are absolutely perfect for dessert tables, as well as wedding and party favors. The "honeysuckle" or brighter shade of pink are white raspberry ganache. The softer shade of pink are sugar and spice with cinnamon buttercream. I hate to admit this, but I have never had a macaron before and once I tasted these sweet cookies from Green Eyed Susan I was hooked. OH MY a little bite of heaven!

 

What do you get when you mix Piggy Bank Parties' adorable custom mini banners with Party Starters custom cake slice favor boxes??? A super cute favor set! I asked Do over at Piggy Bank Parties' to create a mini banner in the exact shade of pink I was using for the favor boxes and voila!! I love how sweet our products look together!! Can  you imagine the possibilities!! Piggy Bank Parties has a great selection of customizable mini banners along with lots of other fun party products!

Now debuting, my new single mini cupcake favor box! Before these have even hit my store they are selling like hot cakes and do you want to know what for...wedding favors! Each box comes with a special cutout for those little cupcakes to sit in, so no sliding around while they are held upright.

Next my little matchbox favors. These boxes are inexpensive, great for weddings or any party where favors are needed. Fill these boxes with Hershey Nuggets, Mini Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, Jordan Almonds, M&Ms, Jellybeans...the list goes on and on!

 Last but not least, my mini gable boxes. We have become quite good friends, me and these gables! These favor boxes are small but mighty and hold all kinds of fun things. Again perfect favor boxes for weddings, birthdays and holidays!

Monochromatic Valentines {Motivate Me Monday}

It is Monday....already...actually I look forward to Mondays for two reasons...and two reasons only LOL. One, my favorite TV show is on tonight, "Next Great Baker". If you follow this show then you know who Jay Qualls is. I met Jay last summer on Twitter then was able to hang out with him in person at Martha's Bloggers Night Out event and I absolutely adore him. A very sweet sweet man and I wish him all the best with this competition. Check out Jay's website and follow him on Twitter too!

OK, my second reason I look forward to Mondays is my new segment, "Motivate Me Monday"! Every Monday I share a photo that hopefully gets both myself and all of you MOTIVATED for the week ahead! SO, without further ado...

This photo is actually a sneak peek of a photo shoot that I styled and photographed yesterday. All of the products that I created were done in Pink. You got it, monochromatic! I have been seeing everywhere that Honeysuckle is Pantone's choice for color of the year, so I ran with it and so did a couple of my friends!

I had so much fun creating new favor boxes, here you can see my Matchboxes and Mini Gable Boxes. The stunning custom wine bottle label was created by Jen from Blush Printables and the gorgeous Macarons are by Susan of Green Eyed Susan. I can't wait to tell you more about all of these items...tomorrow. SO be ready for a LONG post with lots of pictures!!

This week is going to be jammed packed with lots of goodies...I hope that MOTIVATES you!!!

12 Days of Christmas~ Day 4 {Stamped Candles}

Welcome back to our blog series the 12 Days of Christmas Crafts & Party Favors For Kids.  This craft is one that has been around for a long time. I first made these candles probably 4 years ago and thought they were such great inexpensive gifts. Now this craft is definitely one that is more for adults since you use a heat gun, but steps 1 & 2 are perfect for kids who are old enough to hold a stamp and slap it on paper.

Supplies you will need:
White candle (purchase a few smaller ones to practice the heating technique)
White tissue paper (used for wrapping gifts)
Rubber stamps of your choice
Stamp pad in your choice of color
Scissors
Heat Embossing gun

Step 1

Measure your candle and cut a piece of tissue paper to fit around your candle without overlapping. Make sure the height of your paper is approximtely 1" less then the base height of your candle. This will give you a half an inch border on the top and bottom.

Step 2

Stamp your image all over your tissue paper, either in a pattern or randomly. Aly used Stampin' UP!'s stamp set called Snow Swirled with the Ballet Blue Classic ink pad.

Step 3

Once you have finished stamping, lay your your tissue on the candle. Make sure to hold the paper firmly so that the air from the embossing gun doesn't blow it all over the place. Little by little in circular motions heat up the tissue so that the wax from the candle melts underneath and adheres to the tissue. I only do about a 1-2 inch vertical area at a time. MAKE SURE you pull your gun away every few seconds and don't leave it in one spot OR ELSE you will melt the candle too much and you will have weird waves or ripples on your candle. Another result of over heating would be scorching your tissue paper, don't want to do that either. TAKE YOUR TIME, it will so be worth it!!

Step 4

Move your way across the candle inch by inch and again please take your time...slow and steady win the race!!  I keep my candle on the table and roll it as I move along. This helps flatten out any wax that might be soft yet. Practice does make perfect, so by a few extra candles even if they are smaller versions to get the hang of it. Once you have it down you will want to make a million of these, they are addictive.

Step 5

You are FINISHED!! Once the candle has completely cooled you can hardly tell there is any paper on there at all.
Wrap these up in some cello with a pretty ribbon and give them away this holiday season! Heck if you are like me and own 50 million stamp sets, make these for any occasion!

• A giant birthday candle to help someone celebrate or as party favors!
• Every Holiday
• As a thank you gift stamped with flowers or leaves
• Make smaller versions as shower gifts with monograms stamped on them. 

The list could go on and on! Try them they are SO much fun!!
