Happy New Year!

First of all Jen and I would like to wish all of you a very Happy and Healthy New Year! We have a lot of new things happening this year and we can't wait to share them with you. First on our list, Party Starters Packages, which will include just about everything you need to get your Party Started. We are also adding a lot of new favors to our store (yes that popcorn box & banner below will be included in that new favor list), so watch for those.

Now a little ensemble I would like to share today. Melanie Muenchinger is celebrating two years of blogging and illustrating for Gina K Designs, and today she has invited 25 designers and YOU to join the party! When Melanie asked me to be one of the 25 designers I knew I had to make a Party Package using the stamp set she created called "Just So Sporty"! With the Super Bowl just a little over a month away this is what I created:

We can do that! Just let us know the name
and if you want a age or date on it and we would be glad to incorporate it into our cakes! This Sesame Street Cake is a example of how we can do this.

Kids are fans of Party Starters Custom Cakes!

A few blog posts back I blogged about a cake that I made for Hanna's 9th birthday. We love creating custom cakes especially for kids, because this is the response we get. Here is the comment her Hanna's Mom left for us on our website:

I received a pink glittery Hannah Montana cake for my daughter’s 9th birthday. I saved the cake as a complete surprise for her. I wish you would have been here to hear her scream in delight! I love the picture of her looking at it. Her eyes were as big as golf balls. SHE LOVED IT!!! She loved it so much, she asked her friends to give her the boxes back so she can keep it in her room for decoration. LOL!!! A few girls wouldn’t part with their boxes. AWESOME!!! Everyone enjoyed the cake. This was Hanna’s first birthday party ever. She is usually too sick on her birthday to have a party (Chronic Lung Disease). You made her birthday so very special…and you made my heart swell with love and admiration. You are so very talented.

More Custom Cake Ideas!

Since we are highlighting custom cakes all week long, and adding more to our store each day this week. I would like to give you some ideas. Take for instance this Candy Land Cake, we could make it any board game theme. Chutes and Ladders, Monopoly, I think the game of Life would make a great shower theme cake! So please let us know if you get inspired by our cakes and another theme comes to mind. We would love to make it!

Custom Cakes

Party Starters loves custom orders! Some custom orders are as simple changing the topper on a cake and creating something completely different.
For example here is our Noah's Ark cake. Our customer loved the bottom portion of the Noah's Ark cake with the shades of blue and border waves. Since the party she was planning was a goldfish theme she asked for a cartoon style fish with her child's name on it to be the topper.
