Goodie Bag Toppers {Tutorial}

A lot of party printable sets are including "bottle wraps", which of course are for the purpose of covering the ugly wrappers on water bottles and other beverage containers so that they match the party decor. I am constantly trying to think of new and creative "out of the box" ways to use different party items.  This tutorial is just one of the many ways I like to use "bottle wrappers".

Most bottle wrappers are 2" to 3" tall x 8 1/2" to 11" wide, perfect for goodie bag toppers! 

Step one
Grab a sandwich bag or cellophane treat bag. I typically use sandwich bags as I always have a box or two on hand.

Step two
Grab some cardstock, a coordinating color or just plain white will do.
My bottle wrapper is 2" tall  and my sandwich bag is 5" wide. I cut my cardstock to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", this doubles the height of my bottle wrapper + 1/4" AND gives me the width of my sandwich bag + 1/2".

Step three
Score and fold your cardstock in half, this will make a tent to fit over the top of your goodie bag.

Step four
Sandwiching your FILLED goodie bag in between both sides of your "tent topper" use a stapler to secure.

Step five
Cut your bottle wrappers height and width to fit on top of your tent topper. Mine measures 2" tall x 5 1/4" wide. Now using doubled sided tape or a glue stick adhere your trimmed bottle wrapper onto the front of your tent topper, cover the staple. You can do this on both sides of the goodie bag topper to create a clean and finished look.
