Renee from Astonishing Cakes is back today with her Fall Tablescape Challenge dessert table. If you missed her challenge entry post yesterday, hop on over to check it out as well. ~ Pamela
Let the apple harvest celebration continue today with the dessert table created to go with the Fall Tablescape Challenge shared yesterday. The decoration on the table of carries through the theme of my “extended cocktail hour” on Sunday Nov. 2nd when we turn back those clocks, invite a few friends over and enjoy an extra hour of cheers!
This is an easy theme to bring to life, just
grab a few clocks from your house and glam up some beer bottle caps to use as
table scatter. Tip: use decanters as vases if you’ve got them!
You just can’t go around picking apples without the urge to
make apple filling, so that’s just what I did. It was used in my Apple Cinnamon
cake and Apple Shortbread Thumbprint cookies to be served at my “Fall Back”
Cocktail Party. I think my Grandma
Shirley would’ve loved helping make all these apple treats. She always made the best canned apple butter,
yum!
Pam and Tyler of Squatles created the cutest felt bunting to top
off the cake, it tied in perfect with my fleece scarf table runner from the
challenge. I’m already thinking of more
ways to use these adorable buntings on more cakes! Since this was a cocktail party after all, I
figured not all guests will have a strong sweet tooth so I set out fall colored
mini gable boxes for the cookies.
We plan on enjoying cider & brews with our friends for
the end of Daylight Savings next week while we fall back and watch some
football. I hope you enjoyed my fall
inspiration and have fun making it your own!
