Over the weekend I had the great opportunity to meet and spend some time with a special party girl that I admire so very much.  Courtney Dial, (soon to be Mrs. Whitmore) from Pizzazzerie has been such an inspiration to me over the past 3 years with her non stop dedication to sharing everything there is to know about throwing a fabulous party. Courtney has recently added book author to her long list of talents, publishing her first book "Push-up Pops".  I was absolutely thrilled that Courtney came to Denver for a book signing and that she not only signed a copy of her book for my own personal collection, but also a copy for one of my fabulous blog readers!!

Since I am working like crazy this week to get the NEW shop open (not an easy task with now two sick kiddos to take care of) I thought it would be a great time to do a little giveaway! Eeeekkk!!

The Sundry Soiree Challenge {contest}

Are you ready to be challenged? Lisa Komer owner of Fancy That and the girls at PS Make It Your Own are prepared to do just that...challenge YOU!! 

The Sundry Soiree  Challenge is a twist on the traditional designers challenge. Every 6 weeks we will announce a theme and 5 mystery components found in most homes. YOUR challenge is to design a soiree using at least 3 of the mystery items out of our 5 listed. You will have 2 weeks to put your creativity to the test and submit photos of your design! OH and we realize not everyone has the ability to take professional quality photos, just send your best!

We have five judges who will be looking for the most creative use of our mystery items. The winners of our first 6 rounds/challenges will then compete against each other in one final round for a fabulous prize package!

Pint Size Graduation Party {Giveaway}

Corinn of Corely Designs contacted me recently about a Preschool/Kindergarten Graduation party photo shoot she was putting together. I of course jumped on board and suggested my Mini Gable boxes which are perfect filled with small treats. I went to town creating a custom patterned box that would match up perfectly with Corely Designs new Graduation Printable collection.

Along with a list of other fabulous vendors, Corely Designs created this sweet kids Graduation display, which is now being featured on Pizzazzerie. What is better then a feature on Pizzazzerie? Change...It's a Good Thing!

Really are we already three days into the new year...wow! Well I have been doing a lot of thinking about resolutions as well as change, what it is that I want to do with Party Starters. I already have a plan in place with new products and packages that will be available in our shop come January 10th. I also have a new look for Party Starters which is in the works, nothing major...I think. I get bored with the same ol' same ol'. SO, be ready for some fun changes!
What I would like to change is to work more with other creative talents. I am so ready for some fun collaborations this year! Want to be a guest blogger, have a party or idea you want to share, want to work on a party display together...let me know, I would love to hook up! 2011 is gonna be the party bomb...I can feel it in the air.

As for my personal resolution this year...let bygones be bygones! After really pausing for a moment and letting go of some anguish I have felt this past year I am ready to make a fresh start in 2011and boy does it feel good!! Tired of the drama and right now I have the attitude of, if someone is doing wrong by me then I am going to let karma take care of it. Yes, yes I know...sometimes I am so open minded its a wonder my brain doesn't fall out! Well, its a resolution...a start..."see the good in people and help them"-Ghandi

I will be back on Monday the 10th with all kinds of newness, that I can't wait to share with you!!!
