Easter Baskets {Tasty Treats Thursday}

Tired of plain ol' Easter baskets with all of the store bought toys and cheap candy. Why not make some of these adorable brightly colored baskets this year. (created by the ladies at Styled Creative)  Using berry baskets, moss or shredded paper for grass, a vintage inspired looking juice can, home made candy and a sweet little feathery chick, you are all set! These would be great for adults too!

How about adding some homemade Marshmallow chicks? Here is a recipe I found at All Recipes.com that is getting some great reviews. Here is what you will need to get started:

22140.jpgIngredients
1 cup confectioners' sugar for dusting
2 cups white sugar
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
1 1/4 cups water, divided
4 tablespoons unflavored gelatin
2 egg whites
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions found HERE at Allrecipes.com

Have a wonderful day friends!
Hugs,
Pam
