Celebrating Makara Sankranti

Last night I was part of a team of vendors that created a showcase celebrating Makara Sankranti, which is a Hindu festival celebrated in almost all parts of India and Nepal. This event was for the ISES Designer Showcase which was held at Wings Over The Rockies. Here is a small look into the booth we created.

This gorgeous buffet was where I displayed my favor boxes along with photos by Rebecca Marie Photography. You will see more of her work in our upcoming issue of Polka Dot Balloon magazine in June.

Here is a better look at the designs and colors I used on my Kraft Mini Gable Boxes. I love how they turned out. These pretties will be in the shop soon!

Astonishing Cakes was in charge of the sweets for our booth. Renee created Orange Spiced cake push up pops, coconut cake pops and this incredible gold and pink cake.

I found some plastic elephants at Michaels Craft Store, spray painted them and turned them into place card holders for the tables. I will share how I did that in my next post.

I also created custom wrappers for Renee's push up pops which coordinated with the mini favor boxes and signs.

Culinary Wave had an amazing menu for the evening. This was their signature drink, Rose Water Lemonade. Absolutely delicious and beautiful to look at!

Here is the center of our booth. The floral design was done by Events by Marchello who recently moved to Colorado from New York. He joined our team last minute and only had ONE week to design/order/create the stunning centerpiece and surrounding table decor, it was truly amazing and pictures do not do his work justice.

Anne from Allwell Rents and her incredible staff were our "Team Captain". They provided the linens, drapes, furniture, flooring, lighting and place settings, not to mention our incredible design concept. They have such beautiful products you can rent, I could spend days there just looking and getting inspired!

This was such a great gathering of talent, I am humbled to have been a part of such a great team. Be sure to hop on over to each of their websites and take a look at their work/products.
Stay tuned for the entire scoop on our booth in the June issue of Polka Dot Balloon Magazine

DFTBA,
PS
