I was lucky enough to be able to see a FREE screening last week (May16th). At the end of the movie there was a live stream Q&A with John Green (the author of TSIOS) and Josh Boone (the director of the TFIOS movie). The movie was absolutely everything I had hoped. The adaptation was done so well and YES, I balled my eyes out. What was even more amazing was that I was seated next to an older man who came to the movie by himself. He thought Josh Boone would actually be there at the theater and possibly sign a DVD he had brought (didn't happen as John and Josh were in TX and we are in CO). This man, let's call him "Bob", didn't read the book TFIOS and said he "kind of watched" the trailer once. The movie theater served sparkling cider right before the appropriate scene, Bob asked if it had some meaning and I said yes! By the end of the movie, Bob was sobbing and sharing my decorated package of tissues with me. He kept telling me over and over again how wonderful this movie was and that it really touched him as he had just lost his father. I got goose bumps... this movie is truly moving and so very amazing. I won't say anymore as I don't want to spoil it for those of you who are going to go see it, but I warn you... bring tissues!! I can't wait to go again on June 6th and 7th and 8th.....
SO back to my little party feature, head on over to Polka Dot Balloon and virtually flip through the pages of the magazine. The TFIOS party is on pages 45-48. If you haven't seen the little sneak preview post from this party you can see it HERE. Don't forget to grab the FREE printable party squares file while you are there.
DFTBA,
PS
P.S. You can absolutely look at the magazine digitally for free, but don't forget to buy a hard copy to keep forever!

We attended a show last night - my boyfriend is a metal head - and I was totally impressed with how security handled the large crowd present.
